I had no garden when I first moved into this house after a lot of toil its looking pretty good right now, trees are growing...theres roses and the big patch of bare earth is now grassy..
Its no good sitting in my chair outside though, because the family at the back of my fence have bought a giant trampoline
All I see all day is kids heads bobbing up, if they catch me looking they start to do acrobatics.. my peace and quiet has been shattered!
I need to get some big trees I think

That situation must feel very uncomfortable. It's a pity that you cannot sit close to the fence so that you cannot be seen.

No the kids are still trampolining, now they do cartwheels..I would grow some big trees or something but can't afford it at the moment...besides they take time to grow..
The weather has been abysmal with flash flooding

Hmmm...not the best of things to have with regard to privacy...you sound as if you need some fast growing trees to line the fence between the two gardens...be wary those some fast growers become huge very quickly and can take all the light away...alternatively fix a trellis to the top of your fence and grow Russian Ivy up it...that grows fast and very thick... good luck...great big hugs...XX
